About

How They Help

How does your organization help the community?

Ohio Wildlife Center operates the state’s largest, free Wildlife Hospital. We are a statewide leader in wildlife animal rescue and rehabilitation. For 35 years, the Ohio Wildlife Center has provided critical community services and a range of wildlife protection activities through our veterinary hospital and our 20-acre Education Center in Delaware County.  Through dynamic education programs, the Center informs people of all ages about compelling topics related to human-wildlife conflicts, conservation and the value of a healthy ecosystem.

Program Description:

The Ohio Wildlife Center’s free Wildlife Hospital operates seven days a week to assess and care for injured, sick, orphaned or abandoned wildlife. Animals are provided with professional veterinary services, nutrition, medicine and care during their recovery and  rehabilitation. The goal is to return the animals back to the wild.

Ohio Wildlife Center

The Ohio Wildlife Center operates a full veterinary hospital for wildlife as well as an Education Center. Ohio Wildlife Center has two campuses: the Wildlife Hospital is located at 2661 Billingsley Road in Columbus, Ohio and the Education Center is at 6131 Cook Road in Powell, Ohio.

The Education Center is open by appointment for tours, scout workshops, wildlife programs, and trainings. The Center operates full summer day camps from June to August, as well as on-site and offsite programming.  The Center’s historic Bonner Barn provides a unique gathering space for camps and programs. The barn is available for rent to the public for special events, receptions, and meetings. Our wild Animal Ambassadors that reside at the Center, including mammals, reptiles, and birds, bring stories from nature to life. For details on program options, visit ohiowildlifecenter.org

Ohio Wildlife Center also operates SCRAM! Wildlife Control, the community’s leading non-lethal permanent exclusion service for conflicts with wildlife in homes and businesses. Professional technicians work with homeowners and businesses to devise humane solutions to prevent future wildlife issues.
